Who we are

fscl is operated by Fousa BV, Familie Vercammenstraat 1/11, 2650 Edegem, RPR Antwerpen, BTW BE 0780.915.524 (Belgium). Questions about this policy or about your data: hello@fousa.be. We are the data controller within the meaning of the GDPR.

The free calculator: everything stays in your browser

All figures you enter in the calculator — profit, salary, age, gemeentebelasting (municipal surcharge) — are processed exclusively in your own browser. They are sent nowhere, stored nowhere and invisible to us. You can verify this in your browser's network console: not a single request carrying your input ever leaves.

Visitor statistics

We use Vercel Web Analytics: cookieless, aggregated statistics (page views and clicks on fixed buttons). The events we measure never contain entered amounts or other input.

To compute those statistics, our hosting partner Vercel briefly processes your IP address; it isn't stored and isn't used to track you across sessions or websites. Vercel acts as a processor under a data-processing agreement.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding how the site is used, aggregated and without tracking.

Server logs

Like every website, our hosting (Vercel) keeps technical logs with IP addresses, for security and debugging. Those logs are kept briefly and not used for anything else.

Transfers outside the EEA

Our hosting partner Vercel is a US processor; the technical data mentioned above (the briefly processed IP address for statistics, and the server logs) can therefore be processed in the United States. That transfer relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Vercel is certified, and on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (SCCs) in the data-processing agreement.

Cookies and local storage

fscl uses no trackers and no marketing cookies. We set one functional cookie: when you pick a language yourself, “NEXT_LOCALE” remembers that choice for one year. Functional cookies require no consent — which is why you don't see a cookie banner.

We also keep one functional preference in your browser's local storage: your theme choice (light or dark, key “fscl-theme”). Both stay on your device and are used for nothing else.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your personal data. Because the calculator stores nothing about you, in practice there's usually nothing to request — but feel free to e-mail hello@fousa.be.

Complaints can be addressed to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be).

Changes

If fscl expands (for instance with accounts and saved profiles), we'll update this policy before those features go live, and note the change on this page.
